What is included?
One dedicated person, one monthly report, one number you can ask anything at any time. The scope comes in three tiers: essential (progress coordination and the monthly report), standard (adds operations and technology advisory plus a local meeting each month) and full (adds executive visit support, quarterly reviews and technical maintenance).
The value of technical and compliance advice is particularly clear during the tax reform: 2026 is the test year, CBS applies in full in 2027, ICMS/ISS are progressively replaced by IBS between 2029 and 2032, and the new system is fully in force in 2033 (source: Serasa Experian, 2026). Every phase means changes to invoicing systems and to the ERP, and JBKR has maintained the same ERP since 2009, so it knows what those changes involve.
How does it work?
Month 1: handover. We build the item list (registrations, certifications, contracts and hiring in progress), establish contact with each of your professionals, and agree the reporting format and the response rules.
Every month: we track each item on the list, chase progress and deliver the report in Chinese before month end; we attend the agreed local meetings; we answer operational and technical questions and introduce new professionals when needed.
Every quarter: a review with headquarters and an adjustment of the tier to the stage the business has reached. Once operations are stable, most clients move from standard down to essential.
What is out of scope?
It does not include executing bookkeeping, tax filings, legal matters or customs clearance; those are handled for you directly by accountants, lawyers and customs brokers, while we track and coordinate.
It does not include signing documents in your name or acting as your legal representative. The resident attorney-in-fact of a Brazilian company is arranged by a lawyer and is a separate legal responsibility.
It does not include commercial representation or export intermediation. Negotiating with Brazilian buyers or suppliers on your behalf, or helping Brazilian products reach your network in China, is discussed separately and only on request once the relationship has been established.
Why Curitiba?
Curitiba is about 90 km from the port of Paranaguá, 20 minutes from the automotive district of São José dos Pinhais and about 120 km from the Linglong tyre plant in Ponta Grossa. In southern Brazil the plants, the port and the dealers can all be visited in a single day, and that is what gives the word "local" its value.
In 2025 China took 22.5% of Paraná exports (source: Government of Paraná, 2026), and the CCIBC plans to open an office in Curitiba (source: Mirian Gasparin, April 2026). The Chinese presence in the South is growing, and service firms in São Paulo rarely reach this far.
Invoiced in BRL by a Brazilian entity; third-party professional fees not included.
